The Technology and Entrepreneurial Center (TECenter) is dedicated to the development, growth and success of technology companies. Located on Boise State University's West Campus, the TECenter offers start-up and early stage technology company entrepreneurs the expertise, networks and tools they need to succeed.
Technology start-ups are the most exciting drivers of the American economy, yet many either do not get off the ground or survive because the entrepreneur with the good idea does not have the planning and control activities training to build and grow a successful business. The TECenter is the best opportunity in the Treasure Valley for potentially world-changing technology driven entrepreneurs and their companies.
The TECenter is in its sixth year of operations here in the Treasure Valley and currently serves 30+ companies. This includes resident and non-resident client companies as well as anchor tenants. We have had discussions with over 600 emerging ventures and provided formal assessments well over 150. The TECenter also has 6 Pre-incubation clients and 10 Graduate Companies. Current Clients represent 97 self-employed people and approximately $ 4 million in annual revenues. Client funding from various sources exceeds $ 8 million.
